today on the tp-link italia website this new firmware has been released
https://www.tp-link.com/it/support/download/cpe510/v3/#Firmware
these were the tests I did:
I took 2 cpe510 I updated them by resetting them with the last official sign taken on the site.
first ignition everything ok, I disconnect the power to the cpe510 accesspoint I wait a minute I reconnect the power but from the cpe510 client I do not see the cpe510 accesspoint,
I wait a bit and after about 11 minutes they see each other again.
I repeat the same operation by disconnecting the power supply and they return to function no earlier than 10/11 minutes.
I take the 2 more cpe510
I try to install the beta firmware in the cpe510 accesspoint, while in the cpe510 client I install the latest official firmware, configure first power up everything ok
I switch off the power to the cpe510 accesspoint I wait a minute I reconnect the power and from the cpe510 client after about a minute I see the cpe510 accesspoint,
I repeat the same operation by disconnecting the power supply and each time they return to work within a minute
very strange this thing, at this point I don't understand if it is a software problem or these 4 cpe510 are defective

Hm, the file CPE510(UN)_V3.0_2.2.2 Build 200516.zip has build date 20-05-16. Must be pre-historic firmware from year 20.
Just kidding, firmware file correctly shows 2020: CPE510(UN)_3.0-up-ver2-2-2-P1[20200516-rel40382].bin
We wait for Pharos firmware V2.2.2 since last year when it initially was released for CPE610.
Unfortunately, this particular firmware file is indeed for CPE510 V3 hardware only, except for those sold in Canada (CA missing):
SupportList:
CPE510(TP-LINK|UN|N300-5|00000000):3.0
CPE510(TP-LINK|US|N300-5|55530000):3.0
CPE510(TP-LINK|EU|N300-5|45550000):3.0
Oh, yes.

I don't think so. CPEs sometimes need up to 10 or 11 minutes to sync, that's normal. Probably a weather radar was interfering. If I remember correctly I could speed up syncing somewhat by setting the CPEs to a fixed channel, e.g. to channel 100. Maybe you want to try this.

Dear R1D2,
Sorry I didn't make it clear. For V3 and later versions, the Pharos firmware would be different and cannot be shared between different models/hardware.

Please kindly note that the firmware is different for different models and different HW versions. Each model owns a unique firmware for V3 and later versions.
Sorry, Fae, but that's wrong. I am a firmware developer with over 30 years experience and I can analyze firmware binaries.
I will proof that Pharos firmware files are identical for different models:
However, I still want to stress that never use the firmware on different models/hardware UNLESS there is a clear release note on the TP-Link official website, showing that the firmware is for all models/hardware.
Even though you find the firmware files are identical, it doesn't mean that it's fully compatible, in other words, it might have some unknown issues with it.
Kind Note that TP-Link R&D may not provide further assistance on the wrong firmware if you have any issues with it.
So, I will continue to use compatible firmware on other models.
I did write many times to support / R&D to please update the firmware descriptions for all models on your support site, not only for few models (since it's the same firmware, this can be done easily), but never ever got any feedback from the Pharos team about this issue.
Pharos firmware releases on TP-Link support sites have been pretty chaotic in the past, sorry to say this.
Anyway, thank you for all of your support and attention here.

Fae, ah, I see. Yes, I noticed that V3 devices use an individual firmware.
As for the older HW versions, different support sites still list different firmwares for the same model. For example, see those sites:
Spain: https://www.tp-link.com/es/support/download/cpe510/v1/#Firmware, last update v1.3.3 dated 2016-07-05
Germany: https://www.tp-link.com/de/support/download/cpe510/v1/#Firmware, last update v2.1.6 dated 2017-09-08
Finnland: https://www.tp-link.com/fi/support/download/cpe510/v1/#Firmware, last update v2.1.0 dated 2017-06-09
Belgium: https://www.tp-link.com/be/support/download/cpe510/v1/#Firmware, nothing at all?!
It would be great if the web teams/support teams could update the pages also for older models; they are still being used widely.
Anyway, thanks for your care, much appreciated!

or just after the test, 2 cpe510 with the latest official firmware from the tp-link italia site. in the cpe510 accesspoint the wifi channel manually on 100, or tried several times to disconnect the power supply and now the 2 cpe510 are working in 1 minute and 50 seconds, finally the problem seems to be solved.
