No WDS option in Archer C50 after firmware upgrade to 0.9.1 0.2 v0093.0 Build 200608 Rel.66307n
Hi,
I have a Archer C50 router and recently upgraded its firmware version to 0.9.1 0.2 v0093.0 Build 200608 Rel.66307n(4555). Now i do not see WDS option to enable another router as a repeater. Before the firmware upgrade, i had this option of WDS but after upgrade i do not see the option. Does anyone facing same issue? what is the resolution? How do i get WDS option to bridge another router as a repeater now.
Thanks,
Emmpi

As far as I know, this should be the same as when it used WDS on the previous versions, you should be able to connect a computer or LAN device to the Ethernet port, and there should be an internet access if you have configured it successfully.

the Repeater mode is working, thanks!
But concerning the not working ethernet ports of the receiving router, I realized today that also the ethernet ports of the AP unit are not working after the firmware update.

Do you mean the Ethernet port on the C50 is still not working after you configured the Repeater mode successfully? Which firmware were you upgraded to? As I mentioned already, you should be able to access the internet by connecting a computer to one of the LAN ports if the Repeater mode is working properly. You may try with different cat 5e or cat 6 cables between the C50 and the computer, or try to connect another device to the C50 with an Ethernet cable, check if it can get a correct IP address from the C50.

Both devices, the one working as an AP and the one working as a repeater, having the issue that the ethernet ports are not working. The computer is not getting an IP when connecting wired, with WiFi everything is working fine.
Both devices were upgraded to the firmware mentioned at the subject of this thread.

I may need to confirm again what is the detailed network layout, how are the two Archer C50 connected to the network. Are they any other routers or switches in the network also?

The first Archer is connected to the provider modem (just working as modem, wifi disabled) and configured as an AP.
The second Archer is configured as Repeater.
WiFi is working for both devices, but the ethernet ports of both are not functional.
No additional switches used, the whole network is build with the 2 TP Link devices.
Everything was basically working before the firmware update. The reason for update was that the WDS device was not distributing the internet properly to the connected devices and needed a restart quite often. Now the WDS (now repeater) device is working nice, but as mentioned the ethernet ports are not working anymore

I performed factory resets with both devices, set up everything again and now everything is working.
I do not know where the problem was but this doesn't matter anymore ;)
Thanks a lot for your help, br
