TL-R605 statistics are junk?
After a total farce trying to adopt the 605 onto a software Omada controller (192.168.0.x vs 192.168.1.x issue), I finally got it up and working.
I was disappointed with the manageability via the SDN Omada controller, and like some others wanted to be able to see real-time bandwidth.
so I opted to reset and go in standalone mode. Here the router is working fine, but the interface stats are total garbage (ie wrong) and I believe similar is true for the ip stats.
1) anyone else seen that?
2) any clue when we will get any updated firmware? Tplink support via email are zero help
thanks

I also noticed in stand alone mode the statistics are rubbish.
I believe it's a something to do with the hardware offloading function. Any packets which are hardware offloaded are not tracked by the CPU (similar to the edgerouter x). Oddly this function can only be disabled if the router is managed by the SDN controller and not in stand alone mode.
I assume this is enabled by default to allow the router to achieve the 940mbps+ NAT throughput which is advertised in its stats page. My guess would be without it enabled it would be limited to 300-400mbps. Shame you can't look at the exact chip inside as it has a soldered on heatsink.
