Model: Archer AX20
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.0 Build 20210318 rel.47238(4555)

Hello,

I just bought a TP-Link range extender (RE450) which should be OneMesh compatible, but i can't seem to connect it to the OneMesh of the Archer AX20 router.

As far as I can tell, when I connect the range extender for the 1st time to the wireless network, i should see OneMesh in the SSID name, but i don't see it.

I've tried from the Tether app from the phone, and from the PC which was connected via ethernet cable to the range extender.

The OneMesh option is enabled in the Router configuration menu.

Note that the range extender is working properly, and it extends my wi-fi coverage, it's just that my devices do not switch automatically from router coverage to range extender coverage, and this is the only purpose i bought this range extender.

According to this both the router and the range extender are onemesh compatible, so i don't understand why it's not working.

@KodiaK I've been having the same exact problem. Here's what I did: https://youtu.be/8DvY9TDiRWs

I was having issues with the WPS button and kept doing research...this fixed it. Hope it helps! Just set up two extenders for my house.

Oh, by the way, make sure the firmware is up to date too on the router.

I have watched that exact video before posting here, and when connecting it to the existing wi-fi (1:22) i don't have "mesh" under the SSID name.

The router has the latest firmware, as for the range extender, i don't know how to check it's firmware, as in the tether app i see no firmware info.

After reading some more threads here i think i have the wrong version of the Range Extender. I have Model:RE450 Ver:3.0, and i believe that only v 4.0 supports OneMesh :(

Can someone from TP-Link please confirm this.
