Switching capability of ER605
Hi,
Looking for information about switching capability of ER605 in 1xWAN and 4xLAN configuration.
What throughput should I expect ?
Is it hardware or software switch ?
Can you provide simple block schematic of this device describing capability of block elements ?
Few days ago sent email to support but with no response since now.
Think that such kind of information should be a standard in prosument level.
I see loots of critics about TP-Link devices and about lack of capabilities but I want to give it a try.

Did same as you ... on borrowed router.
Connected 4 PC to LAN and made two simultaneous iperf3 tests between pairs.
No matter of packet size (iperf3 --set-mss) retting around 920Mbit.
Also running at same time iperf3 through WAN (fifth computer) and get around 915Mbit.
Even don't know this metodology is legit.
Netgate gives switching and routing speeds.
Mikrotik gives block schema as standard plus basic tests for throughput.
This is kind unfortunate of marketing model borrowed from Unifi - not give vital information that will give you opportunity to make solid business decision.

I have not tested this myself but other have reporteda about 900++ Mbps internet traffic.
I have tested it up to 500/500 mbps without problem, VPN is very slow 10-25 Mbps Ipsec EAS-256
L2TP 10-15 Mbps, OpenVPN about 20 Mbps

Links provided give no information about block architecture.
You can see that my question was specific for switching capabilities.
That means on LAN (LAN1+LAN2+LAN3+LAN) side only.
Basically:
Is it hardware or software switch ?
How much traffic can it handle ?

Very coincidentally, I asked a similar question before and the answer I got was that this router has a built-in switching chip, which in my opinion is probably hardware.
As for how much speed the LAN to LAN can handle, I did my own Iperf test and it can run up to gigabit.
