Model: TL-SG2218
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

As the title asks,

I'm really over my head here so I'll probably be asking a number of stupid question over the next couple of days

EDIT 01:  after a bit of searching and guessing I think L3 feature > Interfaces (virtual interfaces??) is what I'm asking about. My VLAN 'interfaces' are shown as Down. What do I have to enable so I can successfully ping between VLANs

thank you

  @potz_bender The interface will turn to UP once you have devices connected to the corresponding VLAN.

For example if you have VLAN2 set up with some ports untag on VLAN2, you need to connect a PC to these ports to "active" the VLAN interface and make it work.

Here is an example from tplink website.

  @Somnus OK, thank you

It took a while to understand how the example related to what I was doing but it seems to work.

Again, thank you
