Model: EAP225-Outdoor
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 5.0.9

I've just upgraded my Omada Controller ... to 5.3.1 running on a windows 10 pc

Is there an easy way to go back?

It doesn't automatically restart after a power outage, it's just crashed for no apparent reason which meant I had to manually restart it again and the, for example - number of clients reported on the Device doesn't tally with the numbers reported per Client ???

We get a lot of power outages here so automatic restart is important.

Who decided to get rid of the "omada-start.jar" ???

Help!

  @Bebe1980

lok for start.bat in C:\Users\xxx\Omada Controller\bin

or run it as a service with NSSM

ok, then you have to uninstall controller, install old controller and do a restore of backup you took before you upgrade.

maybe you get managed by other, on device then you have to adopt device manually, then do a second restore after device is adopted.

anyhow backup is the most important when you work with Omada. before and after you do something.

  @btx

Interesting reply, I got to paragraph 3 and then stopped devil

Actually it was just after midnight and I'd had a few when I upgraded...

It's working reasonably ok again now BUT why didn't they just stick with using "\Omada Controller\lib\omada-start.jar"

Instead of changing it to "\Omada Controller\lib\local-starter-5.3.1.jar" ???

Then my start up would have continued to work as it used to.

All very sound advice from you... I think the big problem is that all sorts are using this product - IT pro's to DIY'rs like me - so how they address or solve all the issues that that causes... who knows - perhaps they could try with dumbing it all down to idiot level and then providing the further details available here option for IT Pro's...
