The 'Interface' and 'IP' traffic statistics would be more helpful if they could be automatically reset based on some sort of schedule.

 

For me, the ideal reset schedule would be "every 1st of the month".

What is the "Interface" here? Interface IP?

 

I'm not sure why you want to reset the router every month...For me, a reboot schedule is good enough

In the router web interface there are two sets of statistics.

 

Status > Traffic Statistics > Interface Statistics which shows data usage for each port (LAN, WAN, WAN/LAN1, etc)

and

Status > Traffic Statistics > IP Statistics which shows data usage for specific IP addresses (which can be filtered to just LAN IP addresses)

 

For connections that are metered (in my case, per calendar month), it is helpful to know the data usage per WAN port, and also data usage for specific LAN IPs to trace data usage to devices and their users.

Got you. Yep it's a good idea, for now the only way to reset the traffic statistics is to reboot the router.
