Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: all

The UI/design for Access Points that have ethernet ports is, in my opinion at best strange at worst completely wrong and unintuitve.

Suggestion:

Introduce a "virtual switch" device type, or reuse the switch interface, access points with > 1 access ports should have its ports displayed as a a limited functionality switch, where one can for example select the network each port is supposed to be in by name and not by Vlan id, exposing other basic functions if supported by the AP 's switch chip.. operating under the assumption this are only access ports features could be limited to vlan-id, speed negotiation..shall show the regular colors to see iof something is plugged in, at what speed.. and that's pretty much it.

so, for example the eap615-wall.. has hardware-wise a Mediatek MT7621DAT 5-port-switch for which 4 are wired in.

so, virtual switch shows 4 ports,  first is poe in uplink green or orange depending on link speed, probably no configuration other than force port speed, pvid not sure,

the other three basic minimal switch features for access ports. though the actual chip is quite powerful, nobody is going to invest time in making it a fully featured managed switch doubt users need something beyond what described in the first post.
