EAP610-Outdoor(EU)_V1_1.2.0 Build 20230509 Just disconnected all my nodes
The overnight updated of EAP610-Outdoor(EU)_V1_1.2.0 Build 20230509 just diconnected all my nodes.
What's happening? Has this updated been tested?
I would also like to add that i cannot easily reset the nodes as they are attached to house walls out of reach.

Hello @Andy85,
What's your network Layout (current topology) of your all devices? (You can draw a diagram of Network Topology simply if you don't mind.)

Could you elaborate on the problem phenomenon?
Did the client still connect to the SSID but have no IP address? Or the EAP610-Outdoor can not broadcast the SSID anymore.

@Hank21 Hi Hank,
I have thee EAPs one "EAP660 HD(US) v1.0" and the two "EAP610-Outdoor(US) v1.0" that have been disconnected overnight after an unattended and seemingly successful upgrade to the latest firmware which was released yesterday.
The two EAPs in question do not broadcast any SSID anymore and cannot be accessed vis their IPs.
I understand that I will have to reset them most likely but this is rather disappointing as it will incur cost hiring a technician to reach the physical devices.
Is there any other chance to fix the problem without having to push the reset button?

@Andy85 I got one of the EAP off of my roof. Manual reset does absolutely nothing.

@Andy85 Alright to report back. I've managed to reset the EAPs but the problem persisted. OC was not able to see them or any SSID was broadcasted.
I've then manage to connect to them through their default IP "192.168.0.254/24". From there I was able to downgrade the firmware to "EAP610-Outdoor(EU)_V1_1.1.3 Build 20230330" which then worked just like before. However, I did test the automatic upgrade procedure once more and that again caused the EAPs to stop function. As a "solution" I've disabled automatic firmware updated for the time being. Anyway, this proves that you guys caused this issue with the latest firmware. I suggest you guys spend more money on testing. I can't deny that switching to your competition did cross my mind for a moment. This isn't a good look for a "business" grade product. I can't imaging what trouble that must cause for customers of yours who have tens or hundreds of these EAPs.

Same problem here, issues after firmware update!
Updated the ER605 and EAP610-Outdoor and both were disconnected then from my OC200.
For now I solved the problem with the EAP610 with Resetting it, downgrade the firmware to 1.1.3, I think I have to do the same with the Router ER605. It is annoying to publish such buggy firmware for a "high end" system. I lost a lot of trust in the omada!

Hi
I also have problems after an update.
My EAP610-Outdoor V 1.0 suddenly no longer has a wired uplink and can only be reached wirelessly through the next EAP610... I suspect if it could not be reached via Wifi, it would also be displayed as disconnected.
After a downgrade to 1.1.3 everything works fine.

@Hank21 thanks for your support, it seems it is not only an issue with EAP610 but also with the router ER605 V2 with firmware V2.2.0, since this new version also the router is disconnected from the controller. See my screenshot above, rebooting several times did not solve it. It is still doing its job but has no "connection" to oc200 any more.

Hello @StefanB,
Thanks for reporting this issue.
Because ER605 is a different product line from EAP, it is suggested to start a new thread with this issue to make more forum members check.
Could you post a new thread to elaborate on this updated issue of ER605 V2 on the Business Routers Section?
