ER8411 breaks when adding to a controller
I'm at my wits end! let me digress.... I"m in Canada and my internet provider is Telus. I have a GPON GBIC that was on my old vendor supplied router. I need to manually go into the ER8411 settings and set that port to 1000mbps full duplex and I can connect no problem.. Works like a charrm. If I leave it at auto it wont work. Now... When I associate the router with my OC200 (i've tried the software version of the controller as well), it automatically changes the port back to auto and offers no ability to manually configure the port. it defaults to 10Gb. Anyone else experience this or know a workaround? I use the controller to manage 5 switches and 3 APs. Would really like to incorporate this new router.
Thanks for listening. open to suggestions.

@DanBulmer The solution to this problem is easy, Omada Software can modify the state of the WAN port, you just need to enter the Web interface, Go to Device->selcet er8411->Ports->selcet WAN Port you want to edit->Link Speed: Change Auto to Manual and click Apply to set full duplex. If that doesn't work, trust me, reset ER8411 (not restart) and use your OC200 to re-adopt ER8411, then change the WAN port status. However, I am curious why in Auto mode, the router does not work, is your network device Settings must be in full duplex mode to work? As far as I know, in Auto mode, sometimes the negotiation between devices may go wrong, causing the connection to be unstable or not working properly.

@barrolete not so simple... The Omada Controller does not give a port option for this ER4811 gateway as it does with a switch. From what I can see there is no where in the controller software allowing me to manually put this port at 1000Mbps and Full Duplex. It could be this GPON GBIC module not allowing auto to be used and I am forced to use that module. For now I"ve had to forget the device from my controller. Reset the router, log into the routers Webpage, Go to WAN, then change the speed of the port to 1000 Auto and everything works fine. Of course it's a long weekend here in Canada so I'll wait to hear from TP Link.
Thanks for your quick reply though!

So I factory reset my OC200 device and importated the ER8411.
Great news, I now have port control listed as an option on the router.
Bad news is that when I try to set it manually to 1000 and full it gives me an Error... "Invalid request parameters"

@MR.S yeah. I had it enabled. The router doesn't play nice with 1G SPFs.
I ended up solving my problem by moving my 1G SPF to SPF3/LAN and making it a WAN port.
Worked like a charm.
Cheers,
