MESH WIRED
Hi,
I have 3 EAP245 v3 with the newest Firmware. In the release notes you wrote
"Add support for Mesh feature in Standalone mode"
and my 3 EAP are wired conected for PoE conecction.
I want to use it as Mesh without an OC200. Is this possible?
there are diference between mesh wifi or mesh wired?
i would like the wired mode, because i think is more estable

The Mesh feature of EAP products refer specifically to the wireless connection, to establish the mesh network, you will need to connect one EAP to the router/switch via Ethernet cable, and the other EAPs will be able to wireless connect to each other. With the mesh network, you just need to power on the other EAPs, and they will not need to connect to the router/switch via Ethernet cable.
As you said, EAP245_V3_5.1.0 Build 20230104 supports the Standalone Mesh, you can achieve the above deployment and no need the controller. Please refer to this FAQ for more details: How to configure your EAP access points into a Mesh Network using the Omada App
