2. New Features

(1) USB 3.0 Interference Reduction

This is a specific function designed for FR365 standalone.

Since FR365 supports USB 3.0, the USB 3.0 will affect the wireless 2.4GHz performance. Enabling USB 3.0 Interference Reduction will improve 2.4GHz wireless performance, but lower USB 3.0 data transfer speed.

(2) More Versatile Control and Remote Management

Festa is a comprehensive cloud-based networking solution tailored for small businesses, home offices, and prosumers. One of its standout features is the Free Cloud Centralized Management, which allows users to easily manage their network through the Festa app or a web interface. This means there’s no need for users to run their own controller; everything is powered by robust cloud services. With Festa, you can enjoy seamless connectivity, simplified network management, and the peace of mind that comes from having your networking needs handled entirely in the cloud.

3. Application Scenarios

4. Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Can Festa FR365 make a mesh with Festa AP?

Yes, but it can only be made via the controller. Festa Controller can only build mesh when the controller is located in MY, PH, TH, TR, VN, ID, SG, KR, LA, KH, MM, IL, PS, TW, IN, JP, HK, or MA. It’s unable to form mesh when used in other regions.

The process is the same as Omada Gateway and AP build mesh.

For the mesh, you may keep an eye on the official website and product page about the Festa AP. The information on the official website will be updated if a new region is open to Mesh.

Q2: Does Festa Gateway standalone mode support multi-net configuration?

No, currently standalone mode doesn’t support creating multi-nets. If the customer has VLAN or multi-nets requirements, recommend you use Festa Controller.

Q3: After my gateway is managed by Festa Controller, can I log in to the standalone page?

When Gateway is managed by the Controller, the login page will show the following:

After you type in the login account, the page will show your gateway is managed by the Controller. But you can’t change or set any settings.

Q4: How can I adopt the Festa gateway to the controller?

To adopt the device on the Festa controller, you can refer to this link:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/4158/

Q5: Is it necessary to enable Cloud-Based Controller management to add a router to the Festa Controller?

Not necessarily. There are three scenarios for adding a router:
After reset, if you do not log in to the standalone page and initialize the configuration, you can adopt the router in the CBC by SN number.
After resetting, if you have entered the standalone page and initialized the configuration, you need to enable the CBC management manually.
After reset, if you have entered the standalone page and initialized the configuration, you can only inform the Controller URL without enabling CBC management.

Q6: What is the approximate wireless coverage range of the FR365?

You can refer to ER706W's coverage range. A general range is about 15 meters without interference.

Q7:  Can customers replace the WIFI antenna by themselves?

Yes, the Antenna Ports on the WIFI model are SMA females.

Yet we highly recommend you use the stock antenna.

@Clive_A Since Festa mesh AP's (F61) are sold in the US, are there plans to allow mesh capabilities in the US?

Unfortunately, I don't have any information or plans regarding the mesh in the US on Festa. The US is now currently not listed for the mesh. I think as the Festa grows in the US, the urge for the mesh will grow as well and the team will follow it up and provide the feature in the future.

We highly recommend you pay attention to the official website about the Festa Mesh. You may also consult with the technical support team regarding local product compatibility. Thanks for your attention.
