EAP245 Connected from Second Port of Another EAP245 Not Working
Below picture is my network scenerio;
PROBLEM : EAP245 connected directly to PoE Switch is working fine. But the second EAP245 connected via PoE Injector to Port 2 of first EAP245 is not working. I have tried different brands of WAP but same problem. However, if I connect a laptop to Port 2 of first EAP245, it gets IP from DHCP server and internet works just fine.
What may be the possible issue and how to resolve it.. Please help !!

Hi @Procorp
Is the first EAP245 under defualt config?
Are there any VLAN settings on the network?
Normally, we can get internet access from the ETH2 port under default settings.
What IP address will the wireless clients connecting to EAP245-2 get?
You mentioned that a PC works with the port; did you use the same cable to test?

Thank you for your kind response @Vincent-TP
Is the first EAP245 under defualt config?
Yes
Are there any VLAN settings on the network?
No all are in default VLAN 1
What IP address will the wireless clients connecting to EAP245-2 get?
The same IP addresses that the EAP245-1 will provide from Netgear's DHCP Server
You mentioned that a PC works with the port; did you use the same cable to test?
Yes I have tested with the same cable

Hi @Procorp
So the clients will get correct IP addresses but have no Internet?
Please use ping tool to ping the following IP addresses in order and let us know the results:
The IP address of EAP245-2;
The IP address of EAP245-2;
The IP address of the main router;
The gateway IP address;
8.8.8.8;
google.com
One more test you can try:
Swap the connection of the two EAP units and see if the issue comes with the EAP unit, or the location.

Hi @Vincent-TP
So the clients will get correct IP addresses but have no Internet?
No. This is the exact problem, neither the EAP245-2 nor the clients of EAP245-2 are getting IP from DHCP. I have tried giving static IP to AP and clients, but still not able to ping the gateway or get internet connections.
The IP address of EAP245-1;
If DHCP then no, if Static also no
The IP address of EAP245-2;
If DHCP then no, if Static then yes
The IP address of the main router;
No
The gateway IP address;
8.8.8.8;
google.com
No
Swap the connection of the two EAP units and see if the issue comes with the EAP unit, or the location.
Done but the problem is not resolved. Same thing is happening

Hi @Procorp,
Any way to verify that the POE injector is not the problem? I don't think the 245 has a DC power option so maybe you can power the EAP245-2 from an isolated port on your switch to prevent a loopback and then connect the two EAPs together by their non-POE ports.
