Model: VIGI NVR1004H-4P
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.4 Build 241024 Rel.75379n

Hello,

Using a C340I camera with an NVR1004H-4P and the VIGI mobile app for Android here.

I noticed a few times that if a detected event lasts long (e.g. 5 minutes), the video recordings aren't recorded til the end. They are aborted.

I have human and vehicle detection set up. If an intruder enters my property, the NVR records the first 40 seconds or so, and stops recording, even though the person is still in my backyard in the field of vision of the camera. Sadly, I don't know what they did because the video suddenly stops recording.

I had a look at the NVR settings, under "Storage > Recording schedule > Advanced settings". Delay time is set to 20 sec. which is more than enough, right? (to my understanding, this is the amount of extra time the NVR keep recording after the detected event has stopped).

If I don't want to record 24/7 non-stop, if I only want to record events, how can I record each event from the beginning to the end, so that I don't miss anything from what happened? (e.g. if intruders mess around in my property for 20 minutes, I'd like the NVR to keep recording as long as they're there).

Thank you! 🙏

  @calande

There is no human face recognition (unless you use both models that support AI Pro) to keep that recording going on and on. It only triggers, records, and generates a video for an event.

You cannot have it recording all the time. Or it'll be 24/7 recording.

The purpose is to classify the events in your timeline and you can rewind the video and watch from the timestamp. Instead of getting an event bulk to a few GBs because you want to have a recording like 20 minutes if someone is in your property. That's also impossible for the app to replay the video.

Thank you Clive_A, I'm going to suggest this possibility in the feature request section. Hopefully this will be possible in a future update.
