Hi,

Sebastian

Hi  @Bolle397

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

The SG2218P and SG2428P only have gigabit SFP ports, so no matter what devices connect behind them, they can only get 1G speed at most.

To help you with further suggestions, may I ask what is your network topology and what kind of network requirements you want to meet?

Hi  @Hank21

I have 1 Patch Panel in Floor 1 for 16 Wall Outlets an 1 Patch Panel in Floor 2 for 20 Wall Outlets. The FritzBox 5530 is on Fiber with 1Gb.

For 5 Years I have one TL-SG1024 on every Patch Panel. It's works fine.

Now  I must have POE for Display, a Camera .....

In future I will also replace the Fritzbox. So the 2 Switches should be the first step :-)

Greetings

Hi@Bolle397

Thanks for your valued reply.

According to your network description, you may try to replace the 2 TL-SG1024 with the SG2218P and SG2428P to provide PoE for your clients as they both have gigabit ethernet and SFP ports.

The computer equipped with 2.5G compatible speed could be connected directly to your main switch, the Fritzbox, with its 2.5G port for higher bandwidth.
