Hi Team, 

I would like to request an additional lighting mode in the settings for the VIGI C340S (V1) across the VIGI app, PC client and NVR.

On the PC Client, the menu is located at:

Device>Settings (gear icon for the device listed)>Active Defence>Light Alarm>Flicker Frequency. 

The options are:

Low

Medium

High

Please add a toggle between Continuous Light and Flash in the Light Alarm menu, with Flash expanding to show Low/Medium/High.

This would provide a steady, non‑flashing illumination when the Light Alarm is triggered. The duration and brightness can be customised through the existing Duration setting, and the Brightness slider.

Why this matters:
ColourPro 1.0 models like the VIGI C340S V1 can already activate their LEDs as a steady fill light in Auto Colour mode when the camera determines it is too dark. However there is no option for it to be a detection-triggered fill light. This means the LEDs will be on constantly throughout the darker hours of the night, which can cause light pollution and attract insects and spiders.

During darker hours, the camera still reliably detects humans and vehicles and triggers the correct alerts, but fine details such as facial features are often lost due to slow shutter speeds and high gain, which causes motion blur and ghosting. The existing flashing light alarm can negatively affect recordings because rapid brightness changes force the exposure to readjust, introducing noise and reducing clarity.

A Continuous Light option would provide even illumination during detection events, improving facial detail and overall identification quality while also acting as an effective deterrent. Just like the existing Light Alarm behaviour, this mode would operate independently of the Night Vision lighting setting.

Just to add a bit of technical context, the continuous light behaviour already exists across the current Night Vision lighting modes (Auto Colour, Scheduled, and Always On). Because of this, the feature wouldn’t require new LED hardware functions or changes to the detection algorithms. It would mainly involve adding a UI option that triggers the existing continuous light function during a light alarm for detection events, controlled by the same Duration and Brightness settings already present in the Light Alarm menu.
