How do I display the current WAN data throughput on an ER605?
Thursday
Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.1.2 Build 20230210 Rel.62992

I have an ER605 which has 3 WANs configured, two of them are just connections to other routers, but one is configured as a PPoE connection over fibre.

On most routers I am used to you can find current data throughput (sometimes even a historic graph of throughput), but try as I can I cannot find anywhere on the ER605 that shows me the current throughput into the PPoE WAN connection (I don't need it for the other two WANs, since I can found the same information on the routers downstream from the ER605, but there is nothing downstream of the PPoE connection that I can interogate to find how much data is passing through that connection).

With thanks,

George.

@gegb If in Standalone, can you find it in Status > Traffic Statistics? You may have to enable interface statistics first. If not, what do you see?

Thank you. Alas, it does not give me everything I need, but maybe as much as I can get. While the rate values are what I am looking for, they are very ephemeral. It would be nice to have a peak rate over a given period of time. What is more confusing is that when I do a speed test on the line which shows transfer speeds in the megabytes per second numbers returned by the speed test, it only shows tens of kilobytes per second on the display on the ER605. The fact that I am only seeing instantaneous speeds on the ER605 rather than peek speeds means I cannot be sure if the problem is that I cannot refresh fast enough or that the speeds somehow should be interpreted differently, and the tens of kilobytes on the ER605 do equate to megabytes on the computer endpoint.
