Is it possible to configure the NVR to allow local and remote access via the smartphone app and web app? 

Not necessarily at the same time, but I want to be able to connect locally (local LAN / WLAN) while on premise and remotely via the internet when not.

 

I don't see a way to do this currently. It seems you can only configure one or the other. If it is possible please explain how.

 

If not possible, could you at least add the ability to save two configurations (one local, one remote) so that one can easily switch back and forth?

Thanks for reaching out to TP-Link Business Forums.

 

For VIGI APP:

1. Local access: Make sure that your phones/laptop etc., are within the same network subnet as the NVR, then you will be able to access it under Me > Local Devices.

2. Remote access: Bind your TP-Link ID to the NVR and make sure the NVR itself can access network. You can view the NVR on your VIGI APP remotely.

 

For Web UI:

1. Local access: Same as above, but you need to access the NVR via its IP address.

2. Remote access: You may need to setup port forwarding on your router to allow the remote access.
