Hi
1. Installed EAP 110 according to Installation Guide - it got it's DHCP IP address, seemed to work fine
2. Downloaded and installed EAP Controller on my Win10 PC
3. Created admin-login and passwd, Web interface for EAP Controller works just fine
4. Under "Access Points" : found the freshly installed EAP 110 with status "Pending"
5. Tried to Adopt : error : AP to be adopted doesn't exist !?
What can I do to adopt the EAP 110 ?
Thanks

@R1D2 please help me! I bought my eap 110 outdoor last week. I can't adopt my ap. I connect it directly to the router and the computer also connected to the router directly. I searched and tried everything I read in the net including turning off the firewall. Still it is not working. I tried to use mobile app and it is working but in controller it is not working.

Here are some suggestions for you:
1. You say both your Controller host (PC) and the EAP110-Outdoor connect to the router, so they should be in the same subnet. Are you connecting the PC to the router via an ethernet cable? If not, please try it.
2. Can you ping the EAP device successfully on the Controller host? Does the EAP show on the management page of the Controller?
3. You say you cannot adopt the EAP device, what's the detailed phenomenon? If possible, please try to reset the EAP and adopt it again.
4. By the way, you say the firmware version is 3.0, so is it EAP110-Outdoor V3.0? Please upgrade to the latest firmware (3.3.0 Build 20190301).

Em0gurl31, there are several things to try in case of problems with adopting. All methods require that you first do a factory reset (press the RESET button of EAP110 for 5 to 7 sec. until the LED starts blinking). Also turn off virus scanners in addition to the firewall if using Windows.
First method is connecting the EAP110 to the switch or router of the network the controller is runing in.
If this does not work, try second method using EAP Discovery Utility. Download the software from the TP-Link site here. Look up the IP of the PC running the controller, write it down. Shut down the controller and start the Discovery Utility. It should list the EAP110 and let you set the IP of the EAP, which is saved in flash memory. If done, exit the Discovery Utility and start the controller again. Now EAP110 should appear as pending.
First method works on layer 2 discovery, while second method works on layer 3.
If both methods don't work, there might be some problem with your Windows setup. You could check for services either blocking or using the ports required by Omada Controller (TCP/UDP ports 29810-29813, TCP port 8088, TCP port 8043).
Hope this helps.
