Will 802.11k/802.11v seamless roaming work between EAP245 v3 and EAP225-Outdoor?
I will have several EAP245 v3 access points indoors and several EAP225-Outdoor units outdoors on the property. Will the 802.11k/802.11v seamless roaming work between the different models EAP245 and EAP225-Outdoor? I'd like to know if people can be on the phone walking around both inside and outside and seamlessly transition between any of the available access points (EAP245 and EAP225-Outdoor).
Thank you.

Hi Lucask,
EAP245v3 and EAP225-outdoor can work together for the fast roaming. Please note that use the corresponding firmware which supports fast roaming.
By the way, the fast roaming will take effect only the EAP and the clients all support 802.11k/v protocol.

802.11k/802.11v are IEEE standards meaning every device (not only EAPs) fully complying to this standard will obey it - except probably Microsoft products, but that's another story.

You're saying all routers and devices have it?

No. I said that 802.11k/v fast roaming works with all devices which fully comply to the IEEE 802.11k/v standards (in other words: which have 802.11k/v and implement it correctly). This includes EAP225 v3 since firmware version 2.3.0.
As forrest wrote above, the client devices also need to have 802.11k/v to make use of it.

Ok. That's what I thought. Thanks!
