We're starting to see a fair number of these issues on the board.  Not sure why.  You might try logging in directly to the AP management url.  Update the firmware to the latest.  Then reset the AP again -- but this time through the software interface.

@JSchnee21 what do you mean by AP management URL? The webinterface of the AP? I cannot access that either

When the EAP's are havig issues leasing an Ip address they fall back to 192.168.0.254 as I recall (it's in the manual).  After a hard reset you should be able to access the AP's web url -- but if it fails to lease an IP from your router you will need to change the IP of your PC to be on the same subnet -- e.g. 192.168.0.x

@JSchnee21 thanks for the tips. It does get an IP however, which I can ping. Entering the ip in my browser does not give the web interface however. With SSH I can access it but not login. 

The discovery tool doesn't find it either. It seems completely invisible
