Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.1

1 x ER606

3 x SP2008P

1 x EAP610

Omada Software Controller 5.0.29 (new)

This seems to be new in V5 of controller.

What is its purpose?

Do I need to enable it for each vlan I use on the switch?  or is this for Management network only?

If you edit, it has DHCP Mode settings....  What are those for (Considering that VLAN settings already have that)

There is more to it....

I have to Windows 2016 domain controllers with DHCP and DNS.

I did not want to use the Omada DHCP settings... I wanted to use windows.

that is only possible if you enable the VLAN interface for each switch

I leave vlan 1 as the management interface.

and enable the other assigning static IP

@jwaltrip

I saw a similar article when I browsed the forum earlier, and I think you can refer to it.

@jwaltrip Just wondering if you ever figured this out. I can't find anything about this. Why can I toggle on/off VLANs? Does that disable them on the switch? Who knows.

It's just occurred to me what it means - because of the options that each interface allows when you click the pencil next to it.

Enabling the interface of a VLAN for the switch means the switch becomes addressable on that VLAN - this is why it forces you to enable the management one, it needs to have the switch addressable via that VLAN so it can manage it.
