USB Tethering
Would be interested in some type of USB Tethering via the USB Port.
Unless this is already in place, it would be a welcome addition.
Recently had some downtime when the Highspeed internet went down.
We had to resort to using a Mobile Device and Tethering as we didn't have a USB modem.
Either using a hotspot to connect to from other devices which can be quite slow.
The other option was using a GL-inet travel router the Beryl MT1300 which is pretty much plug and play when it comes to Tethering.
Plug in your mobile device via USB, enable personal hotspot or tethering and it automatically uses it to share as Internet.
Is it possible for this with the TP-Link?
I think somebody had suggested using a Wifi enabled Ethernet.
"In theory, you could have a wifi-ethernet adapter preconfigured and have someone locally hotspot a phone with the correct SSID and password on the adapter, that should bring up a WAN port with internet access"
Has anybody tried this?
Also have to find an employee or somebody on site who is willing to do this. I guess the possibility is have something preconfigured and then walk them through that.
Also open to any insight on people who have used the USB modem option in Canada with a USB LTE Modem or something of some sort.
