Hello everyone,

 

quick question. There are switches available from Omada that are identical to TP-Link switches. Only those branded with Omada or specially developed for it are also available in SDN.

 

Is this also the case with media converters such as the MC220L? I ordered some from Amazon at the time, but they don't have Omada branding.

 

In my OC200, the connection between two switches is displayed as a cable, so the media converters are not visible. 

 

So the question now is whether media converters with Omada branding are installed differently in the controller?

Hi @TW_EPC,

 

I beleive that all of the media converters are dumb devices regardless of the labels stuck on them.

Everything in the future should be either Omada, or Omada Pro.

The accessories were not named after the Omada but as a solution, and we seek a unified naming that should all be inked with the Omada down the road.

 

But as for the accessories, dummy like this, that does not affect your use. Even if it is "Omad", that'll not be controlled or managed by the Omada Controller.
