I have purchased an RE650 WiFi Extender.

The problem I have is that the extender just don't even detect the 5GHZ network from my modem. I can connect with no issues tho this network through Ipads, Cellphones, and computers, but the extender just don't even detect it.

The router is an Alcatel-Lucent Model G-240W-B.

I tried almost everything (disabling DFS, couldn't set the 5gHZ network to work on channel 1 as is set Auto for default) and it just don't identify the 5gHZ network. 

TP-Link support team, what can I do? It's just impossible to use with the 2.4 extended network. Is so frustrating as I picked this model of extender since supposedly it was the best in terms of features.
