Hi all,

We build an external portal for our EAP Wifi infrastructure.
After some difficulty with the communication flow of the authentication we finally have it working.
The problem that remain is a performance problem.

The portal is located in the same server as the EAP controller and if we request it directly from the network it work normally (each page loaded in 1-2 seconds)
But when we request the portal throught the WIFI authentication redirection it take easily 20-30 seconds to load each page.

Our network is composed by 4x EAP330, 2x EAP245, 1x EAP225 and 1x EAP220.
We tested the authentication throught one of the EAP330 and the EAP225. (1.1.2 Build 20170711 Rel. 51586 and 1.2.0 Build 20170828 Rel. 67446)

Does anyone know if some configuration can be set to improve the performance of the access to the external portal or is it related to something else.

hi, so what is the situation of the authentication server and the portal server ? Are they separated or not ?

The 'external portal' is located on the same machine as the EAP controller.

Meanwhile, I've updated all the firmwares to the last version, I've also update the eap controller to the version 2.5.4.
Reset the eap access points and did a clean setup.

The velocity is still very bad. ~15-20 s each page.

Hi

We've found the solution.
It was a mistake of our codification.

For future readings, If you build a custom external portal, take care of all the references you need on your pages (css, js and fonts)
If you are using internet references (cdns) then you need to setup each one of them in the free access of your router (cdns ip addresses) or replace them by a local reference.
