This has been asked a few times and never answered.    Its also worth noting that TP Link are not alone in not providing a MAC OS based controller, other vendors dont support MAC based Controllers.

My two cents..  Its probably due to the fact there is little to no penetration of MAC OS in the business or enterprise server sector, the audience for setting up a software controller is likely MSPs who will run multiple sites from one controller, this is likely on a server somewhere which will be Linux or Windows.  I know this cause i am one of those people.

MACs are ultimately user side machines, im actually typing this reply on my MB Pro :)
