Deco m9 wifi channel
Hi,
My deco m9 is operating in channel 44, which is the same as my neighbor's wifi. May I request the feature to be able to change wifi channel manually to avoid wifi congestion? Since you guys are benchmarking with Netgear orbi, they have the feature to change wifi channel.
Thanks

I cannot agree more with what has been said here. I have interference problems with a neighbor and the channel selected by Deco is not going well. Without being able to distinguish the different 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks with the name NO HELP. Sorry for the purchase.

I am waiting on this feature as well.
If I dont see the firmware rollout in the next 2 weeks I'm going to return the device and get something else. Looking at the Orbi at the moment.
I like the parental controls tho- wish I could enter custom urls.

It has been 8 months since the request to change channel feature has been gone into R&D. Is there a timeline on this?
If not I probably will be returning these if they can't handle such basic configuration.

its always using the worst channel.
Plz release a update with a feature to manually chose the best wifi channel or to changing automatically to the best channel available.

Hi Kevin, I agree to idea of providing advanced wifi control in Deco M9 Plus, besides channel width , we should able to select authentication protocol. It seems currently it runs on WPA which is old and not secured. There should be option to use WPA2 as well. I also very slow development/update in the product. Last firmware was released more than 6 months back (in Aug 2019) and am sure there has been lot of fixes made in other WiFi routers. Please confirm what is the firmware and product feature release interation. Is TP-Link focused to keep it updated or this is being deprecated in favor of other models?
