Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: TL-ER5120(UN)_V4_20180706
For some reason I cahnge my TL-ER5120 V2 to TL-ER5120 V4 today.
Yes I buy new TL-ER5120.


But when I setting it done. I find the V4 was not support the NAT Loopback .

 

When I on the same LAN device , key in the public IP or the domain URL for my Server , always present the TL-5120 V4 Web UI Management screen.
And when I use the other network like 4G, key in the public IP or the domain URL for my Server, I can see that ,  not the router Management screen. 

V4 It's can not like V2 to use the System Mode for change or swtich the Management screen or NAT Loopback.

 

Does this mean that I have to wait for the TL-ER5120 V4 version to update the firmware?

I feel TP-Link soho and smb routers have never supported NAT Loopback, while some ADSL modems had it. Probably, routers will never support it. However, you can contact tplink support and ask for it, maybe you will be lucky and get some beta firmware.

I am trying to contact them,  but haven't got any response yet.

 

In my experience with the old hardware, in the software the hardware version V2 was supports NAT Loopback , but the new V4 version is not have, this is fails as a business router by the V4 version.

On this hardware version update, I thought I got a hardware upgrade, but in fact it made me feel a waste of money.

As I know, ER5120 v4 should support NAT loopback. But it seems that the router doesn;t support NAT loopback for one-to-one NAT.

@Andone I very much agree with your statement.
we have been very appreciative of the V2 version of it, so buy V4 for hardware updates.
Because we have a lot of services and the server needs different Public IP,

But if the one to one NAT not support NAT Loopback , I think this router was no value at all.
