Hi,

I have configured my router to two WANs and three LANs

WAN1 is connected to a Fibre ONT modem supplied by ISP

WAN2 is connected to a DSL modem supplied by the ISP

 

I have configured "failover" mode in Link Backup with Manual online detection giving 8.8.8.8 as the ping and DNS IP addresses with WAN1 as primary and WAN2 as secondary WANs

 

Whenever there is a Fibre line fault, the router fails to switch over  to WAN2 as back up WAN.

I have tried "Auto" mode for online detection. Still it doesn't work. Currently i have to manually mark WAN2 as Always Online to get it to work  and then revert back after i physically verify that the Fibre line is back up. It defeats the purpose of the automatic backup of WAN. Please help

Have been struggling for months with this.

Please upgrade the firmware to the latest version before we try further troubleshooting.

 

The latest firmware version for TL-R470T+ V6 is Build 20200313, you may follow the link below to get it.
