I decided to move these two AP's to be managed by the omada controller software. I was able to adopt both, Devices show an ! saying they are incompatible with this version of the controller. I cannot login to the AP locally, and I cannot find where to update the firmware from the controller software.

 

Any suggestion how to update the firmware on these devices?

  • Download the latest firmware for the EAP245 first.

https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/eap245/#Firmware

 

  • Then update from the controller:

Click on the incompatible EAP device to show the menu on the right side,  locate to Manage Device where you can upload the firmware.
