Good day,

i just want to know your opinion guys on this matter.. 

i have these settings and notice an improvement on the 5ghz band and i am curious what is the proper setting for the 2.4ghz band as i feel no changes ever happened.

 

settings: (minimum data rate control)

2.4ghz band is set to 6mbps

5ghz band is set to 9mbps

 

also should i put checkmarks on the "send beacon" and "disable CCK rates"?

The 802.11 Rate Control can only help to improve network performance in a high-density network. 

 

You can tick the "Disable CCK Rates" box to disable the CCK data rates (1/2/5.5/11 Mbps) for checking, if there are old 2.4GHz devices in your network, it may improve the 2.4GHz performance in your network. If there are multiple SSIDs configured in your network, you can also tick the "send beacon" option to have a try.

Thanks for the reply. 

 

I would give your recommendations a try and see what happens, especially on the "send beacon" as i have 2 SSID's. Also going through the link for a read.

@Fae Can you explain if this is supposed to only impact TX rate? I have mine set to 36, require clients is checked and send beacons at 1Mbps is unchecked. Is this normal to see the RX rate so low?
