It comes with passive Poe adapter so it does not regulate/handshake power to device. Will it work with active Poe adapter? Active Poe adapter will fail if it cannot negotiate power with device. I lost the passive adapter.

Yes. The EAP225-Outdoor supports Standard 802.3af/at PoE, you can purchase a TL-POE150S or a PoE switch to power it up.
