*REQUEST* OC200 - History Data Retention Save To External Drive
I would like to make a request that the ability be added to capture Historic Data to an external drive since the OC200 has very little space in order to save this data. If we are able to save the configuration to an eternal source we should be able to do the same with the Historic Data for devices that are managed by the OC200/OC300. Not all users will find this information necessary but some of us who like to know what is going on with our network equipment would much appreciate this data.

Dear @Reconboy,

It is possible on the OC200/OC300 by using the Auto Backup function to save the historic data to an external drive.
To do that, you may go to Settings > Auto Backup to enable it and specify the Retained Data Backup, for example, to 1 year.
In addition, the format of the external drive should be FAT32 or NTFS.

It can save the configuration data but I do not see it for historical data as far as clients and attached network devices.
Maybe I am missing something here but when enabled on the OC200 for historical data it specifically states not to do so on the OC200 because of the lack of storage room.

Just so you know what I am talking about
I want to be able to view the client history on the Omada page, so in order to collect this data you have to enable History:
Please see attachment
This data could be saved to an external drive instead of the OC200/OC300 if there was the option to so that way I can leave History enabled with out the worry of maxing out the OC200/OC300 storage space.

I have also noticed this and it always seems to default to saving the historical client data which isn't included with the backup on the internal storage. I was waiting to see how quickly it would fill up the internal storage as i have it set to only 7 days retention.

Thank you for the detailed information. Sorry for my delayed response.
Just let you know this has been written down for further evaluation. Hope it be supported in the future.

@Fae Hi, How is it going. I would really like to have history data stored on USB so that my OC200 can be used for that. How is progress going? Is it going to be implemented at all?

Requesting this as well...by limiting space, you're forcing folks to use a VM or Docker for free instead of buying the oc200/300. That's not smart business practice.
