OC200 Controller showing no stats or clients?
OC200 Controller showing no stats or clients?
Hi, Just installed a Omada OC200 controller with two EAP225 WiFi access points connected to an 8Port POE TP-Link Network Switch.
The switch is connected direct to a BT Router Smart Hub2.
Problem is the access points are all connected fine and working, but my controller is not displaying any stats or client info etc.
The controller is working fine on the cloud and local but is just not displaying the Stats/Clients/Usage for the site as it should.
I have about 10 devices connected to the two AP's.
I've done all the latest firmware updates on the controller and the AP's.
I've tried multiple factory resets and re-installations. But Still no joy!
I've installed these before with no issues.
Anyone got any other suggestions please?
TIA

You need to connect to the IP address of the device directly using a browser, you can then log into the portal from there. If you can get access to a remote PC this might save you a trip, something like Teamviewer or Quick Assist. As long as your can get onto a PC in the same network that should suffice
The auto update will only take you to the newest version of v3.. you need to manually download and update to v4..
Once on the controller you can update the firmware from the update section usng the file, here is a link to the download
https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/download/oc200/#Firmware
Go for this download below as it will update you to v4.
Once this updates and reboots it will be reset, find the IP address again and connect to it via the browser. Start the setup again and all should be good for you

Hey
Could you confirm what version of the software is running on the OC200? This should be under settings / maintenance
Also have you adopted the EAP225 into the controller for SDN and what is their firmware version?
Any screenshots you have of the device page would help also
It should look something like this in the SDN

Hi, I'm not onsite anymore but can access controller through cloud on my iPhone.
in OC200 settings it says Hardware Controller V.1.2.4. Build 20201120
the EAP225's were adopted into the controller after everything was factory reset including the controller. I set up controller first.
If I go to the EAP settings they say Hardware ver. 3.0. Firmware 2.20.1. Build 20200630

Hey
Yeah so both firmwares are up to date ok, the fact you where able to adopt these is good. I cant think what is causing this, any chance you could post some screenshots from the phone even? Just to see what is going on for you

hey can you check you are running the latest version of the app? on android this is 3.0.15 apple 3.0.33
I only ask as the screenshot you provided looks to be the older version, APs at the bottom changed to device a while back when SDN came out. Just to rule out the app not reading the stats from the controller correctly.
Below is what it shoud look like.

it doesn't look like your photo, a bit different.
the app version I have on my iPhone is ver. 3.0.33
other oc200 controllers I have connected to this app are working fine with stats etc.

Even looking at the screens on the Apple Appstore this doesnt appear right, it almost looks like the over version.
Might be worth removing and re-downloading this again just incase. Have a look at the screens on the Apple store site..

everything I've done including set-up has all been through the APP on my iPhone.
I will try deleting app and re-loading.
thanks so much for your help anyway.

Thats what im suspicious about, it just doesnt look right and being honest I have never seen that happen before.
Try accessing the controller via IP tomorrow when you are in work and see if it looks better that way, hopefully this is just the app messing you around.
Drop me a reply and I will reply again tomorrow if you need
Phil
