Hello,

I have 3 EAP245 wh runned perfectly in standlone, one of the SSID is a guest network with a portal, working fine.

But when a adopted the 3 AP in Omada Controller (Windows), it appeard some problems :

- I can not see the connected clients on my AP (0 client shown while several clients are actually connected)

- guest portal doesn't work anymore : client can connect to the guest SSID but "no internet" and no way to display a connection page for the portal to get access to internet (when in standalone, works perfectly!)

Thanks for your help!

Hey

This is reported quite often and its usually that you are running version 3 of the software on your Controller, you would need to update to version 4.    Not reading clients connected is a common symptom of this.

Version 4 is a large change and therefore also a manual update, this will not install via the "check for updates" button on the controller.

To do this go here

https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/download/omada-software-controller/#Controller_Software

and download v 4.2.8 (guessing you are windows), note this may not be the first item on the list of downloads..

Then do a manual update on the controller, point it to this file.

NOTE!!  Retire / UnAdopt any APs you have and backup your config as the update to v4 will reset the device.    You can then re-adopt and restore to v4 when upgraded.

Hope that helps

Phil

Thanks! It works now with the new version. The old version was the first which was visible on the website.
