I've a new EAP 110 that I've connected to a Huawei Echolife HG8245A router. 

When connected, the appropriate Lan light flashes on the router and I can see the EAP is broadcasting wifi at full strength but when I try and connect, my laptop tells me the EAP is not connected to the internet. I have tried rebooting, resetting numerous times - both EAP and router, bought new ethernet cables, tried different LAN ports, tried connecting to www.tplinkeap.net (no server found) etc etc

Does anyone have any suggestions please?

Sorted - it appears the LAN ports on the router needed converting to a 'layer2bridge' - works well now.

Ensure the Huawei Echolife HG8245A router can provide Internet access to the end-clients properly first. You may refer to the step below.

 

Replace the EAP with a PC, so hardwire a PC to the Huawei Echolife HG8245A with Ethernet cable instead, check if the PC can connect to the Internet directly, and refer to this guide to find the IP info obtained on the PC.
