Sorry that I have no idea about the sales issue, you may contact the reseller to confirm the hardware version.
Normally the hardware version can be found on the product itself or on the package.

@Fae Any update for EAP620 HD v1.0 to support Mesh? I bought 6 of these access points and it's been nearly a year now. What's going on?

@linkteepee I'm in a similar situation. I've bought several for business installations presuming mesh would be standard like the 200 series, but no. I can't believe there's a version 2.0 considering these version 1.0's are clearly unfinished.
Apart from this the units seem to perform way under specification with the Tx and Rx being saturated with only limited traffic.
what's worse is they cost more than the Unifi U6-LR!

@duchycomputing I was given this response from TP-link support on Sept 29, 2021:
The EAP620 HD v2 doesn't have a release date yet.
After checking with PM's, we are still waiting for U.S. approval and FCC approval.
They have not given a timeline on when these approvals are forecast.
There are no V2's stateside.

any update here? This is really annoying, that this feature is sold for about 1 year now but it is actually not available.
On the tp-link products page we can even see a EAP 620 v3 ....

There is mesh in latest software.

As side note: German site does not have the update.
Found it for the 620HD as well (english site), installed it and omada-controller shows mesh. Finally

Do i need to manually install the firmware? Ive updated via omada cloud but latest is 1.0.6 for EAP620
