TL-R605 request manual DynDNS option to configure other providers
Dear developer team,
Is it possible to add an option to configure other DynDNS providers than just the predefined ones.
I am using Strato which is not in the selectable menu.
If it is possible to manually add a new one with a name and IP4 address, that would be great.
Now I have to keep my old router (configured as a client) to update the IP address to the internet DNS servers.
I didn't plan to keep the old router when I bought the TL-R605 ;)
My whole networdk is OMADA compatible, controlled by OC200. So I think it must be configurable in OC200 also.
Regards,
Alex

I second that request too. I'd rather do it in the router itself at the entry point of the Wan to Lan.
We absolutely need to be able to run our own local cloud and management for both security and privacy reasons. I can do it already but it's a bunch of run arounds that complicates things unnecessarily. It requires running more equipment and therefore more costs, more space to store said equipment, more cables, and in the long run, more electricity used, and more complicated troubleshooting in case something in the chain becomes defective.

I second this request as well. Would love to see this feature extended to more providers. I have my domain at Strato as well, so I would be very happy to see this implemented. @Fae: could you give us an update on this perhaps?
Thank you for your valued feedback! The developer team is still evaluating it.
I'd like to transfer this thread to the block of "Requests & Suggestions" to gather more feedback from others.

Thank you all for supporting this request.
Hopefully software engineering will make it happen.
It's not the intention to use extra hardware only for a simple dyn-dns function.
Best regards,
Alex

@Intrax I support adding DDNS service customization too. A single "Other" would be great. So many services have some POST or other command with similar parameters.
I looking for NameCheap support.

Thank you for supporting my DynDNS request. Hopefully it will still get to the developers' attention. It's been a while and I haven't heard anything more about it. I hope they realize it in a next firmware.

I also support this feature request. Not limited to the TL-R605 but for all Omada Routers.
I am planning to upgrade my network and almost already had chosen Omada-Line of products for this upgrade. But to be limited to this for four DDNS services is a deal breaker for my use case and I have to reconsider my choice, if this essential feature keeps missing.

I second this request to implement custom services.
