Use wired network to connect Deco instated of Wifi mesh
Use wired network to connect Deco instated of Wifi mesh
Is it possible to use wired Ethernet connection instead of WiFi to get the units to communicate with each other?
I have 3 deco all connected using wired:
- The main one use wired network to connect
- The other 2 units are using Wifi to connect to the main one even if both are connect by cable
How I can switch them to use cable?
Currently the working mode is Access point

I recommend you run simple test: bring one of Satellite Decos to where Main Deco is, connect it by short Ethernet cable of good quality, even Cat5 is OK, to the second port of Main Deco, power Satellite Deco on and when it is on - see what does it use for Signal Source, in Deco app. I suspect it'll be Ethernet.
Repeat same test with second Satellite Deco.
If you see both Satellite Deco using Ethernet when connected directly to Main Deco, the problem at their original location is between them and Main Deco, not in them. If they are connected to Main Deco through the same switch, that is the most likely culprit.
There are switches that don't play well with Deco, and when Satellite Deco can't establish wired connection to Main Deco, it'll use wireless.

Deco mesh works just fine with most unmanaged network switches, DLink brand is one notable exception, and in AP mode you don't have to worry much about how to connect Deco units to wired network.
In my Deco mesh that I run in AP mode, I have Main Deco M9 wired through 8-port gigabit switch to ISP router, and I have Satellite Deco M5 wired through different, 5-port gigabit switch, to ISP router.

@Alexandre. All the deco devices are connect to the same ISP router (adb VV5822) through a CAT5E cable...
Can I change any settings on the ISP router ?

I misunderstood your original post. I thought Deco units are connected to ISP router through networking switch, not directly.
I can't help with ISP router configuration, sorry. Perhaps, TP-Link support will notice this topic and help you.

I just connected all the cable to an unmanaged switch and used the Deco as router (PppoE), the other 2 units are still using wireless to connect to each other instead of using the wired connection.

Either myself or yourself are missing something here.
Can you run two more tests to see what's up? For that, you'll need Main Deco and one Satellite Deco, and please keep second Satellite Deco powered off. You can run Deco in router or in AP mode, for that test it should not make the difference.
1. To make sure there are no hardware issues with your Deco units, connect them with Ethernet cables the following way:
2. If you managed to get Ethernet backhaul on Satellite Deco, that means Ethernet ports in Deco units and Ethernet cables you use are good.
Then, introduce unmanaged switch between them, as shown below:
If Satellite Deco still has Ethernet backhaul, you can now rebuild your home network. If it does not, something must be wrong with the switch.

@drew1998 i don't think the switch is the problem (netgear brand new switch unmanaged)...
deco are prioritizes wifi over ethernet backhaul...
