Model: EAP235-Wall
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 3.0.0 Build 20210322 Rel. 53895

When we replaced one of our old EAP 115-Wall with a new EAP235-wall I had to recognize, that the Omada 4.x doesn't show RX/TX-Frames and the Calculated Interference for the EAP235 as it did for the EAP 115.

This feature was never precise but anyway quite helpful to analyze if the channel is occupied by clients or other devices/foreign APs.

Will this behavior be back any time soon by firmwareupgrade or should we stay with an EAP225 to fix this?

Hello,

thanks for the information, so the EAP 235 / 230 not usable for us.

It is a step backwards compared to the EAP 225.

Best Regards

I haven't met this before, are there 5G clients near the AP? Would it help if you forget the AP and re-adopt it? I assume your EAP may not report the information back to the controller for some reason.

@Fae

Thanks for your reply, and sorry for my delayed reply.

There are 5 and 2.4 GHz clients in rage of the EAP235 and sometimes also some quite close to it.

I readopted it. Still just the total utilization at 2.4G no rx/tx. With fewer clients than usual.

Hello,

i have the same problem. I think it`s a firmware bug.

The last update to V1_3.0.0 did not bring any improvement.

5 GHZ EU Channels ar also not adjustable.

Best Regards

@data021

Thanks for your reply and the information, that we are not the only once facing this problem.

On 5G all our accesspoints (EAP245, EAP225, EAP225-Wall, EAP235-wall) just accept 36 to 48 in Omada.

Therefore I don't think this is related to this issue.

@fishbone222

As we don't mandatory need the 3 rj45-plugs we gave a try also to the eap230-wall which has the same behavior.

I suppose the 3.0 Firmware which both AP's have in common has a general problem.

Furthermore we recognized, that the eap230 and the eap235 both have a quite high rx-drop-rate counted.

That's not like it on the other AP's even if we exchange them in their position and channel-setting.

I tested with one EAP235-Wall but haven't encountered the issue you mentioned above.
