Model: EAP225-Outdoor
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.7.0

the unit fails to connect, as per subject line.  it used to work, but was rather unstable, i had to set it up quite a few times, until the last time, after successful setup in the lab, it failed to connect on site.  brought it back to the lab, but no matter what i try - no connection on RJ-45.  ethernet port on the router will not light, not responding to ping as 192.168.0.254, not picking up DHCP address from the router.  nothing.  reset a number of times to no avail.  has anybody come across this situation, and how to resolve it?

very frustrating, this has never been a very stable system, since day 1

thank you

@dmitriry

Morning

Just a quick question, how are you powering this device?    Are you using the injector or straight from switch via POE?

@Philbert

yes, i was using the OEM supplied POE injector.  it appears that this injector is rather finikey, at times it fails to pass through data traffic.  the problem is - it not consistent, which made the troubleshooting harder.  I hooked it to a 3rd party injector (ubiquiti), suppose the internals are identical.  since then - working OK, no issues, for about 2 days now.  will have to monitor it further, before closing the issue.

i'm working with TP link support, see what they have to offer

@dmitriry

In that case it does sound like a faulty injector, hopefully they can just swop it / replace it for you!

Best of luck mate and any hassle dont be afraid to reply
