Model: OC200
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.3 Build 20200430 Rel.52621

I have an Omada OC200 1.0 Firmware 1.2.3 Build 20200430 Rel.52621(controller version v3.2.12) and 8 APs connected.

The controller connects via cloud.

In the IOS Omada app (3.2.16) I can log in and see statistics but when I wait a few seconds or choose to see APs, I get an error

“The session was terminated unexpectedly, Please go back to the homepage and re-manage”. When I confirm with “ok” I get error

“Your session has expired. Please login with your TP-Link ID again”. I have tried logging in using the local wifi network and also from outside.

Logging in to the OC200 through the web app works well.

Please help.

@Vlug

Is this issue happen recently? How about the IOS version of the iPhone? Maybe you can try to upgrade the firmware version of OC200 into 1.2.4 bulit20201120 which has the controller version 3.2.14 to have a try?

At the same time how about deleting the APP and then download it back again, put in your account to see if you have the same error.

@John1234

Thanks,

It is working again. I dnt know why, since I didnt make any changes yet. I am on latest version ios.

If I try to upgrade the firmware of the OC200 I receive error message: "Incompatible firmware version 1.8.0 Build 20210406 Rel.58757. If continue with upgrade, the current version, the configurations and data will be lost. Please back up the configurations before upgrading." What does this mean? I do not feel setting everything up again. Or does it mean I can by using the backup?

Dear @Vlug,

The "session terminated" issue was reported to the R&D team and they have fixed the problem from the cloud.

The firmware version 1.8.0 Build 20210406 is bundled with Omada SDN Controller v4.3.5, which is incompatible with your OC200(controller version v3.2.12). If you continue to upgrade, please back up the configurations(some functions will require manual configuration). For more details, please read the Omada Controller Upgrade Guide.

Before you upgrade the firmware, it's suggested to verify if all EAPs in your current network are on the Omada SDN Compatibility List.

  • If none of your EAPs are compatible with the Omada SDN Controller, you may just keep using the current firmware.
  • If all of your EAPs are compatible, you can upgrade the OC200 and all EAPs to support the Omada SDN controller.
