Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 20210531 Rel.59047

When I shutdown and restart the omada softwarecontroler the wan connection (TL-R605) goes [down] and later [up], causing the Lan losing internet for a short time.

This is strange but not a big problem.

But sometimes the Wan keeps stated down in the logging leaving the router in a strange state:

Lan has internet connectivity e.g webbrowsing on local clients is working, but from Wan no access is possible e.g VPN/PPTP Portwarding PING.

This is major problem because you have to go on site to do a manual reboot of the router.

Has anyone the same experience or a solution?

I am in the same situation.
I am using Linux/Docker software controller, and it is very inconvenient because the WAN of VPN of all connected sites goes down when rebooting.

This looks like a bug.

@canopus

That happened on all controller i have tested. OC200 and on Windows.

And this is pretty scary, when controller restart all site go down with wan interface down. and all site loos Internet and vpn, and L2TP, PPTP almost every time stop working.

this happen also if go in to a guest portal and do nothing els than press apply on site where controller is. then a chain off disaster is started. first of all local router loos internet, then when com up and remote site start to provisioning they loos internet for many minute and all client is disconnected on all remote site. a lot off trouble with L2TP and PPTP on all site after that. Ipsec VPN work better and come up pretty much.

So there is so many problem with this router and tp-link do nothing, sometimes I wonder if they use their own equipmen, all this is not very dificult to figure out if they use it.

Having the same problem with a Linux controller. Was not a problem until the latest controller version. I did log an offisupport ticket back in May where they said they are aware of the issue and they R&D was investigating. I've heard nothing since.

There is a similar problem posted in another thread, and the problem was just located.

Please check this post for details. Thank you!
