Model: EAP225
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version:

Afternoon all.

I now have successfully installed an EAP225 via a POE switch (TL-SG1008P) and all is working well.

I am looking at getting another EAP225 and the OC200 but here is my question and I think the answer will be yes.

OC200 will be connected into the above POE switch (in my office) and then I want to run another EAP225 downstairs but this time it will be powered by the included POE injector and plugged directly into my ISP router.

Would there be any issue with the OC200 managing the new EAP as I want to run fast roaming between the two EAPs.

Network is flat (ie no vlans)

Thanks again

Ben

@Benje

Hey

This should work fine for you.   Ideally, I would recommend that if possible the AP was connected to the switch, rather than the router.  However it cant see it affecting you in any way

I would say you should be fine!

@Philbert

Thanks again for your swift reply.

If I can, I may see if I can go through the ceiling to floor again and go directly into the switch as I would prefer this and it will also save me one power socket.
