TL-R600VPN stopped working with VPN

Hi, We have in place at a customers site a TP-Link R600vpn router. The reason we chose this router was for its ability to have VPN. After three weeks of being installed withing our customers network it has stopped allowing VPN. It will not allow to be accessed remotely via the web interface and no matter how I set up the VPN connection client side I just cant get it to connect when a week ago it connected without a hitch with no changes made what so ever.
Can somebody help explain this to me as it makes no sense. We have the same routers installed inside other customers networks and the VPN connection capability is completely fine for those. Is this problem something I can expect at all my customers with this router?
Please could somebody assist me with this?

i have just noticed the ip 183.60.48.25 connecting to VPN on my logs. This has lead me to this thread.

It is strange since my 600VPN with 130831 doesn't have the problem, even I can see an attack from 183.60.48.25 in the log.
So can you check the log on what happens before the problem occurs, maybe It helps to find a solution.

same issue 5 years later!

I installed a brand new tl-r600vpn hardware version 3 about 4 months ago and I've had nothing but trouble with the VPN!! seems like the same issue as everyone else on this thread where the tunnel works great for a few days ... then dies until someone power cycles the router. then fine for a few days... then refuses connection again. I've contact tplink support and they had me power cycle it again and then ended the call with "well it's working now"
what the heck is going on here?!
why is the vpn so unstable? 5 YEARS LATER??!?!?!
I've not seen the log file entries mentioned earlier in the thread. If anyone wants a copy of the log let me know... it was cleared when I restarted the router but I'm sure the vpn will fail again and I'll be sure to get a copy.
anyone have a resolution yet?
