Since owning 5 of the EAP 620 HD V1 devices and living in Canada, there has only ever been the initial firmware release. At the time, I naively switched to the Canadian version thinking "it's the right thing to do". What is alarming is that the US version of firmware has had multiple new features and bug fixes, with over 6 firmware updates in total.
To add insult to injury, although my devices came with US firmware out of the box, my devices will not allow you to roll back or switch to US firmware versions once using the Canadian version.
@Fae What is the actual difference in firmware version in the Canadian vs American? I thought North America shared the same standards for WiFi in terms of power outputs, channels etc. When is the Canadian version being updated? Thank you.

Canada has a slightly different wireless regulation from America, the main difference is the wireless transmit power.
The new firmware for EAP620 HD v1.0 Canadian version will be released next month I think (only for your reference).
I'm trying to apply for the Beta firmware so that you can experience the 1.0.6 firmware quickly. Any update, I'll keep you informed.

So today, TP-Link released another firmware update, this time only for the EU. https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/eap620-hd/v1/#Firmware
It's exciting to see mesh support finally being rolled out for the EAP620HD but upsetting that we don't see it for any other region?
Very curious as to why Canada has still not received a single firmware update?

Just out of curiosity, could we flash the US firmware on the Canadian version, or is there hardware difference not allowing this? I know, probably a stupid question, but I had EAP245v3 beforehand that were running US firmware out of the box without me even doing anything, they came with it, even if I'm in Canada, so I'm guessing this wouldn't hurt using US firmware instead?
Meanwhile I did the upgrade with the BETA provided above, so far so good!
Edit: Ok so after reading a bit more, I found a few posts about it, seems like flashing US on CA isn't supported and void warranty... Oh well, I guess then, the question is, why did it took so long to port the US updates to CA?!

@Fae when can we expect a non beta release? I've had a few EAPs waiting to deploy for a few months now as I need the mesh feature.

@ggeoffreyyy I've been running the beta for a few weeks now on my 2 APs in my house, works great, haven't had any issues with it and I have around 40 clients connected to it (IoT devices, TVs, phones, etc..). But that being said, I'm not using the Mesh feature.
