EAP 660HD retried rate bad
I seam to be having horrible retried rates with on the 660 hd. Running a Eap 245 v3 and a 660hd using Software controller . (not in mesh ) all Hard wired.
Ill attach a photo below showing both ap. What is causing this. Is it my devices ( alot of wifi light switches and what not). Not seeing any changes in quality on my phones/laptops.

I have same problem on EAP660HD and its the same on EAP620HD. it have always been like this from firmware v1.0 I haver try to replace with EAP245v3 with same channel same bandwidth and EAP245v3 have no retry at all. when I switch back to EAP6xx access point its retry and dropped packet again, I have never figure out why this happened.
there is little or no channel utilization about 10% in 2.4 and 3% on 5GHz when retry occur

Hey shberge
Sadly dont have a 6xx to test this with, but sounds like a firmware issue for sure. Does it appear to affect performance? Namely do you think its just mis-reading the error rate or is it actually having to re-transmit?

No I do not notice anything on the performance so I have not cared so much about it. it may be that it is only cosmetic and that it is not correct what is shown.
it usually comes at night when the computers is turned off and all the IoT device have wifi for it self. about 30 on 2.4 GHz many off them is junk and not very good wifi quality
But it is difficult to find the probem device as this does not show which device it is.
If there are any problem devices then .. on EAP245v3 there is nothing red only green same with EAP225-Outdoor

Seems the same. I cant sere any performance change. But today its really all over. home all day. And it does suck we cant tell what device. Im tring to find a way to follow stats from devices in home assist . its funny cause of all my IOT half are on one router and half on the other and equal amount to name brands. I think i will try and have them all only connected to 1 AP. Think the 245 . Ill remove the dedicated wireless channel from the 660..

Hey
Yeah looking at your screenie, its a tough one to call but I tend to agree that both on 1 might be your best option. Give that a whirl and see how it rolls, enable the Airtime Fairness for 2.4ghz and report back how you get on.
24hrs almost. IOT wifi off on the 660HD ( so all 2.4 IOT are on the 245 v 3) So. I dont beliove its a IOT device or we would have seen change on the 245. Its either a bug as i didnt notice a drop in services even though they are just switches.. or the 2.4 is not so happy on the 660Hd/

Yeah that is a very strange result, clearly its either an issue with the firmware on the WiFi6 device or, more than likely a mis-reading from the device
I would flag this up with Fae
@Fae Hey Fae, referring to the results above. Would you have come across this before? The 660 is reporting high retry rate, but when moved to the 245 it disappears. Appears to only affect the 660
