EAP 110 frequently disconnection devices for WPA authentification timeout / faulure.
Greetings
I bought two EAP 110 a couple months ago.
First of all I was very surprised, how good it worked initialy.
But after the first two weeks I realised, that there is an very annoying issue. For a unknown reason some devices keep disconnecting from the EAP. For example my Echo Show. Cause its right in front of me, I can see, that it disconnects quiet often a day. Its offline for round about 3-5 minutes and than come back online.
If I check the system logs I can see a lot of warnings:
The EAP is directly connected to my Fritz!Box 6591.
I already updated the firmware for both devices and the problem is still there.
Has someone already had the same error and may know a solution?
Have a nice day,
Andy

To better help you, please tell me did you use EAP110 in standalone mode or use a controller to manage them?
What's the physical connection(current topology) of your all devices?
And may I know how is the EAP powered?
How does the internet recover, automatically or need to reboot the device?
When the internet dropout, you can see and connect to the Wi-Fi without internet or the Wi-Fi disappear?
You can change the channel and the channel width of this EAP to have a try.
For the 2.4G, the channel is 1, the channel width is 20 Mhz.
If it cannot work, please try to reset the EAP and just set up the password without any other advanced settings.
And if you don't mind, please tell us the firmware version of the EAP.
Best Regards!

@Andy1411 i am running a Omada controller with to EAP-225 AP's, after upgrading to the most recent controller software, i had a lot of reports (multiple per 10 minutes for each device, which are static devices, but these reports have now disappeared after 1 day after the upgrade. So it might be a bug they fixed at least on the controller.

Nope. Auth failure/timeout is common when your phone cannot join the WIFI. When you are out of WIFI range, you may have an issue. If you have deployed tens of AP. When roaming, you see a lot of failure in the dashboard. It does not mean the controller is buggy.
Quote:
1 Association Timeout The connection failed because of session timeout.
2 Blocked by Access Control The connection failed because the client has been blocked. For details about blocked clients, refer to 8. 4. 1 Known Clients.
3 WPA Authentication Timeout/Failure The connection failed because the client did not pass the authentication due to authentication timeout or wrong password.

In the first weeks both EAPs worked in standalone. Cause they got the problem that often I decided, that I should try out the Omada controller. For the first week it worked completely fine. But right now, the problem is back..
One is screwed on the ceiling and the other one placed on a shelf in +1.
They're both powered via. POE.
It only takes 2 maybe 3 Minutes for them to recover, I don't need to restart them. The Wifi Signal is available all the time, but I got the authentification error.
If my Fritz!Box lose the connection to the provider, the EAPs still provide the Wifi Network and I can still connect to all the NAS systems without any problem, except, if the authenticfiation problem appears again.
Is it possible, that the EAP dont like it to provide that much Wifi signals? For thr last weeks I only used two wifi signals, yesterday I added another wifi and now there are tons of problems...?
I currently updated both EAPs to 5.0.3. Maybe they work just fine rn.
Greetings
Andy

Another question: Is it necesary, that the Omada Controller is connected to the EAPs all the time? I installed it on my "normal PC" and of cause the controller is offline, if I shut down my pc. Is that a problem?
This is normal as the controller is installed on the computer.
And if you need to use the function like Mesh, Fast Roaming, some Portal etc., it is necessary for the controller to be constantly running, i.e. your computer needs to be constantly running, the specific Portal please refer to this article:
Do I need to keep controller running when using portal authentication?
Best Regards!
